The Network Problem
Why Your WiFi Doesn’t Work
Your internet plan is fast. Your devices are new. But your network — the router, the cabling, the wireless coverage — is the bottleneck nobody told you about.
The Consumer Router Trap
- ISP-provided routers with weak radios and no management
- Big-box mesh systems with wireless backhaul halving your speed at every hop
- WiFi dead zones in bedrooms, patios, casitas, and garages
- Dropped video calls and buffering on streaming devices
- 30+ smart home devices choking a single consumer router
- No visibility into what’s on your network or who’s using bandwidth
- Zero security — no firewall, no intrusion detection, no VLAN separation
The Planet Geek Difference
- Enterprise-grade router with firewall, IDS/IPS, and traffic management
- Hardwired access points with dedicated Ethernet backhaul to every location
- Full-property WiFi coverage — every room, every patio, pool to garage
- WiFi 7 with 6 GHz band support for ultra-low latency and high throughput
- Managed PoE switches powering access points, cameras, and intercoms
- VLAN segmentation separating IoT, guest, and primary device traffic
- Cloud or local management with real-time monitoring and alerts
Our Network Services
What We Design, Install & Support
Whole-Home & Whole-Building WiFi
We design wireless coverage maps for your specific floorplan, then install commercial-grade WiFi access points in ceiling, wall, or outdoor enclosures — each one hardwired back to a managed PoE switch. WiFi 7 access points deliver speeds up to 11 Gbps with 6 GHz band support, eliminating congestion from legacy 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz devices. Consistent, high-speed wireless in every room, on every floor, across your entire property.
Structured Cabling — Cat6 & Cat6A
Structured cabling is the foundation of every reliable network. We install Category 6 and Category 6A Ethernet cable — rated for 10 Gbps — to every access point location, camera position, TV wall plate, office workstation, and network closet. All runs terminate in a labeled patch panel. Clean runs, proper bend radius, tested and certified. New construction, remodel, or retrofit.
Router, Firewall & Network Security
Your router is your first line of defense. We deploy enterprise routers with stateful firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention (IDS/IPS), deep packet inspection, DNS-over-HTTPS, VPN support, and multi-WAN failover. Whether you choose a Ubiquiti Dream Machine, an Island Router with automated threat-ware blocking, or a TP-Link Omada gateway — your network is secured from day one with no recurring subscription fees.
Managed Switches & PoE Infrastructure
Managed PoE switches deliver data and electrical power over a single cable to access points, IP cameras, intercoms, and VoIP phones — eliminating separate power adapters. We install rackmount and compact PoE switches with VLAN support, spanning tree, link aggregation, and per-port power management.
VLAN Segmentation & Network Design
Flat networks are security risks. We segment your traffic into isolated VLANs — separating primary devices, IoT/smart home gear, security cameras, guest access, and work-from-home traffic. Each VLAN has its own SSID, firewall rules, and bandwidth policies. A compromised IoT device can’t reach your personal files, and guest traffic stays completely isolated.
Multi-WAN, Failover & VPN
For homes and businesses that can’t afford downtime, we configure dual-WAN with automatic failover — traffic switches to a cellular backup (4G/5G) or secondary ISP within milliseconds. We also set up site-to-site VPN tunnels, remote access VPN for work-from-home employees, and SD-WAN for multi-site management.

Why Arizona Homes Need Professional WiFi
Phoenix-area homes are built with materials that aggressively block WiFi signals — thick stucco walls, concrete block construction, tile roofs, and radiant barrier insulation all attenuate wireless signals far more than drywall-and-wood construction common in other regions. Add in sprawling single-story floorplans, detached casitas, covered patios, and pool areas typical of Scottsdale and Paradise Valley properties, and a single consumer router simply cannot deliver reliable coverage. Our professional installations account for these Arizona-specific challenges with proper AP placement, hardwired backhaul, and coverage mapped to your actual building materials and layout.
How It Works
Our Network Installation Process
1. Site Survey & Assessment
We walk your property, measure floorplan dimensions, identify building materials and interference sources, locate existing cabling, and map coverage requirements including outdoor areas. We discuss device count, usage patterns, and performance expectations.
2. Network Design
Based on the survey, we design your network — selecting the router/gateway, switch, and AP models, mapping cable pathways, and specifying AP placement locations. You receive a detailed proposal with equipment, cabling scope, and pricing before we start.
3. Structured Cabling
We run Cat6 or Cat6A Ethernet to every access point, camera, TV, and workstation location. All runs terminate at a patch panel in your network rack or enclosure. Every run is labeled, tested, and certified. Clean routing through attic, wall, or conduit pathways.
4. Equipment Installation
We rack-mount your router, switch, and UPS; mount and connect every access point; configure VLANs, SSIDs, firewall rules, and security settings; set up cloud or local management; and integrate with existing cameras, security, and smart home systems.
5. Testing & Optimization
We test wireless signal strength and throughput in every room and outdoor zone, verify VLAN isolation, confirm failover behavior, and tune channel assignments and transmit power. You get a walkthrough of your management dashboard, credentials, and network map.
6. Ongoing Support
Firmware updates, configuration changes, device additions, troubleshooting, and expansion projects — we’re your long-term network partner. When you add smart home devices, cameras, or a pool house, we make sure your network grows with you.
